Rites of Passage Blessings

Rites of Passage are pivotal turning points of transition from one stage of life to another. These moments usher in myriad experiences and emotions, creating a lasting impact on the individual and their loved ones. Indigenous peoples around the world understand that to successfully navigate and honor these portals of transformation, the community must gather together in support. Experiential wisdom is lovingly passed down through carefully crafted ritual, and the way forward is blessed by the whole community. Though American culture has forgotten this important communal practice, I feel called to offer it with respect and reverence to all those who have and continue to teach this sacred way of life.

Lunar Gatherings
Following the phases of the moon is an ancient tradition practiced by humans the world over. Indigenous peoples honor Grandmother Moon for her teachings of quality of life. She knows when to expand and fill (waxing), when to celebrate and honor climax (full moon), when to empty out and reflect (waning), and when to begin again (new moon). Gathering together in celebration, reflection, and support is a powerful way to integrate these quality of life lessons communally.
